Here the stag turns properly useful, and rather magnificent with it. This handsome bust — dapper in a top hat and tailcoat, cravat neatly tied — wears antlers that branch into four candle holders, so the whole piece becomes a working candelabra crowned by the soft glow of real flame. The antiqued finish glints with worn gilding across the antlers and cups, giving it the gravitas of an antique passed down through generations. He's a centrepiece and a light source in one striking object.
He's the piece that makes a dinner table feel like an event before a single candle is lit.
Equal parts sculpture and candlelight — the table's quiet showstopper.
At the centre of the dining table. Fit four tapers into the antlers and let the candlelight frame his top-hatted profile through dinner.
On a mantel, flanked by greenery. Tuck cedar or pine around the base so the antlers rise out of the foliage, candles glowing above.
