About Us
We are a locally owned furniture and home décor destination located in the heart of Kansas City. Set within a 100+ year-old historic building, our three-story, 35,000-square-foot space features thoughtfully curated displays with the character of the building's exposed brick, original beams, and hardwood floors.
Founded in 2012 by owner and principal designer Jenna Baechle, who was a founder of the beloved KC store, The Painted Sofa. In 2022, The Painted Sofa transitioned into Charmed House Interiors, marking an exciting new chapter for us. This growth allowed us to expand our retail offerings and introduce a cozy, locally operated café on our first floor.
Today, we proudly serve as a one-stop shop for all things home, offering one of Kansas City’s largest selections of furniture, décor, art, lighting, rugs, wallpaper, kitchenware, gifts, antiques, florals, seasonal decor pieces and boutique clothing.
We partner with a variety local small businesses including: Brandon Riley, Little Midwest, Thirty-Six Degree, One KC, Empire Street Vintage, VintageSuz, KP Curated, Links Apparel and Elusive Fox.

We are located in the heart of Kansas City's Historic West Bottoms. Our building offers convenient on-site parking for an easy and accessible visit. You'll find our cafe located on floor 1, serving Messenger Coffee & Bloom Bakery goods.
