This is the soft, antique silver tinsel of a Christmas past, wound onto a kraft spool and ready to use however you like. The tinsel has a gently aged sheen rather than a harsh glitter, and it bends easily to wrap, coil and tuck exactly where you want it. It’s one small detail that makes everything around it look collected and considered.
Style note — gifting: Wrap it twice around brown paper and twist the ends together instead of tying a bow.
Style note — the tree: Tuck short lengths among the branches so a little sparkle shows through the green.
A little nostalgia, on a spool.
On a tabletop of bottle-brush trees. Coil it around their bases and weave it between mercury glass votives for a frosted, vintage vignette.
Through a fresh cedar wreath. Twist it loosely through the greenery and leave a long tail trailing from the bottom. It looks like old-fashioned frost against the deep green.
